This is an abstract of data recorded in a schedule to the Agreement for the Commutation of Tithes in the Parish of Waters Upton, signed by William Wyley junior of Admaston on 13 September 1837 and confirmed by the Tithe Commissioners on 13 December that year. The pages are part of a document held by The National Archives at Kew (part of Piece 29, Sub-piece 328).

The data contained within the schedule is presented over eight pages in tabular form. There are eight primary columns headed: Land-Owners; Occupiers; Numbers referring to the Plan [i.e., the Tithe Map]; Name and Description of Lands and Premises; State of Cultivation; Quantities in Statute Measure (further broken down into Acres, Roods and Perches in sub-columns headed A, R and P); Amount of Rent Charge apportionment upon the several Lands and payable to the Rector; and Remarks.

Below, in the same order as in the schedule (but not in the same format, given the limitations of the WordPress platform I am using), I have presented data from the schedule, grouped by landowner. For each landowner I have given the total measurement of their lands in the parish, from the Summary at the end of the schedule, in [square brackets] after their names. Each landowner’s name is followed by the occupiers of their land, for whom data from columns three to six of the schedule is given.

Headings are abbreviated (to No. for the number referring to the parcel of land on the Tithe Map; and to Name and description); or changed (to Land use instead of State of Cultivation). In respect of Quantities in Statute Measure, the title is omitted but the three sub-columns headed A, R, and P are given as per the original. I have transcribed but not included here the rent charge amounts apportioned. Finally, I have not transcribed the various alphanumeric codes recorded in the Remarks column of the original schedule so they do not appear here.
