The memorial (or monumental) inscriptions – MIs – on the gravestones of Waters Upton St Michael are the starting point of the Waters Upton One Place Study.
There are 32 surnames recorded in the MIs I have photographed (plus another surname – Foulks – which does not appear in the MI of the lady who died with that appellation!). I have split them into four groups:
