Waters Upton MIs - Walker, Ann

The 1851 census shows Joseph Walker, a farm bailiff, living with his wife Ann at Apley Farm in the parish of Wellington. That census showed that Joseph was born in Worthington, Leicestershire (or, as Ancestry transcribed the county, Liechtenstein!) about 1811 while Ann was born at “Wollerton” (Wollaton) in Nottinghamshire. The 1871 shows Anne Walker, wife (but head of the household in her husband’s absence), living in Waters Upton, occupation school mistress and her birthpace confirmed as Wollaton in Nottinghamshire.
