Burials at Waters Upton

Abstracted parish register burial entries from 1701 to 1868

Abstracts for burials up to 1815 are based on those in Shropshire Parish Registers, Volume XIII (Shropshire Parish Register Society, 1913). The register for 1816 onwards has not been deposited at Shropshire Archives. However FamilySearch has microfilmed copies of transcripts from the register sent to the Registrar of the Diocese of Lichfield & Coventry – the Bishop’s Transcripts – for the period from 1810 to 1868 (with a few gaps). Having received copies of the digitised version of those Bishop’s Transcripts or BTs (from Áine Ní Donnghaile, to whom I express my grateful thanks) I have now (November 2024) added abstracts based on them to extend the coverage here. Despite the gaps in the BTs, they have provided an additional 208 burial records for this page.

Abbreviations: d. = daughter; p. = parish; s. = son; w. = wife; wid. = widow.
