Tithe Apportionments – Houses etc

On this page I present information from the tithe apportionment schedule for Waters Upton relating to dwelling houses, two business premises, and their occupiers. Initially the focus is on showing where these properties were located, using a series of map extracts – not from the original tithe map, but from large scale Ordnance Survey maps dating from 1900-02 (all reproduced with the permission of the National Library of Scotland under a Creative Commons licence).

Each landowner name below is hyperlinked to the relevant part of the Tithe Apportionments – Schedule page, where you can see further details of what their tenants occupied. Be aware that some scrolling may be needed in the case of larger landowners (I’m looking at you, John Dickin!). I plan to add some additional link functionality to help reduce that scrolling.
