“The results of examination are much the same as last year, though in some respects there is a little improvement. In the upper standard the failures in Arithmetic are not so complete. Notation and spelling are both faulty in the second standard. – Writing has generally improved but still requires careful attention. Reading is the most satisfactory subject being as a rule fluent and fairly expressive.
Grammar should improve, especially in the higher standard where it is very meagre.”
