Waters Upton MIs - Beaman, Richard and Emma

The marriage of Emma Gregory (born around 1831 at Waters Upton, daughter of James) and Richard Beaman was registered at Shifnal in the March quarter 1858. The couple appeared on the 1871 census living in Crewe, Cheshire with Emma’s widowed mother Sarah Gregory. Richard was a locomotive engine driver, aged 39, born at Trench in Shropshire (which would probably make him the Richard Beaman baptised at Lilleshall on 20 Nov 1831, son of Richard and Elizabeth Beaman). It appears that Emma’s death was registered at Wellington, Shropshire in the December quarter of 1890, while Richard’s was registered there in the March quarter of 1900.

For details of Emma’s father James gregory, see the MI page for the surname Gregory.
